About The Position

KDG Construction Consulting is seeking an experienced and analytical GIS Project Manager to support geographic information systems, spatial data management, dashboard development, and data visualization for public infrastructure, capital improvement, and construction projects. The role designs and maintains interactive dashboards, integrates data from multiple systems, manages spatial databases, performs geographic analysis, and prepares maps, exhibits, and reports to support project management and executive decision-making. The position combines project management experience, advanced GIS expertise, and data analysis and visualization skills. It requires proficiency with Esri ArcGIS tools and dashboard development platforms, as well as experience integrating project management, permitting, schedule, and cost data into unified reporting solutions. The successful candidate communicates effectively, pays close attention to detail, and responds to time-sensitive data requests. The role coordinates GIS deliverables and stakeholder requirements; develops dashboards, maps, reports, and data workflows; and collaborates with project managers, program staff, technical teams, and other stakeholders. It also supports data accuracy, accessibility, privacy, and clear communication of technical findings to non-technical audiences. The anticipated salary range is $192,000–$220,000 per year.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Science, Geography, Data Science, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
At least 10 years of project management experience for Project Manager II candidates, or 15 years for Project Manager III candidates.
At least 5 years of experience in GIS analysis, spatial data management, and dashboard or data visualization development; public works or public agency experience is preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing projects, coordinating deliverables, and working with technical teams and stakeholders.
Advanced proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise, or comparable industry-standard GIS software and resources.
Experience developing and maintaining interactive dashboards using ArcGIS Dashboards, Experience Builder, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Experience integrating data from multiple sources, including project management, permitting, scheduling, and cost systems, into unified reporting solutions.
Experience designing and maintaining spatial databases, including data standards, quality assurance and quality control procedures, and data-update workflows.
Working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Python, or comparable tools for data processing, analysis, visualization, and workflow automation.
Ability to respond to ad hoc data, mapping, dashboard, and analysis requests within short turnaround times.
Experience preparing maps, exhibits, dashboards, and reports for executive briefings, project teams, and community meetings.
Knowledge of accessibility requirements, including ADA and WCAG considerations for public-facing digital content.
Ability to handle sensitive property information, resident data, and confidential records in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain technical GIS information and data analysis clearly to non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills, including ability to manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines.
Ability to coordinate effectively with project managers, technical staff, program administrators, and other stakeholders to identify data needs and deliver accurate reporting products.

Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification.
Experience supporting disaster recovery, post-disaster rebuilding, emergency reconstruction, or other recovery programs.
Experience supporting public works, government, public infrastructure, construction, or capital improvement projects.
Experience building GIS dashboards to track capital projects, milestones, budgets, schedules, permitting activities, and program performance.

Responsibilities

Manage GIS project activities, deliverables, schedules, priorities, and stakeholder requirements for public infrastructure and capital improvement programs.
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards for project progress, program activities, milestones, and key performance indicators for management and public audiences.
Build dashboard and reporting solutions using ArcGIS Dashboards, Experience Builder, Power BI, or comparable platforms.
Integrate data from project management, permitting, scheduling, cost tracking, and other program systems into unified reporting views.
Analyze spatial and non-spatial data to support project tracking, geographic analysis, program monitoring, and management decisions.
Design, maintain, and update spatial databases, data models, data standards, quality assurance and quality control procedures, and recurring data-update workflows.
Use ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and other applicable GIS tools to manage spatial datasets, perform geographic analysis, and develop mapping products.
Prepare and maintain maps, geographic exhibits, visualizations, and reports for executive briefings, project meetings, stakeholder presentations, and community meetings.
Respond to ad hoc mapping, data extraction, spatial analysis, dashboard, and reporting requests within established deadlines.
Collaborate with project managers, program staff, technical teams, and stakeholders to define data requirements, validate information, and develop useful reporting solutions.
Apply quality assurance and quality control procedures to verify data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability across integrated reporting systems.
Support data processing and workflow automation using SQL, Python, Power BI, or comparable tools and technologies.
Maintain data documentation, metadata, update procedures, and reporting standards.
Ensure public-facing dashboards, web content, maps, and digital reporting products address applicable accessibility requirements, including ADA and WCAG, as relevant.
Protect sensitive property information, resident data, and other confidential records in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection requirements.
Translate technical GIS analyses and data findings into clear information for non-technical audiences.
Identify opportunities to improve dashboard functionality, data integration, reporting efficiency, and digital accessibility.
Coordinate with project stakeholders to set priorities, clarify reporting requirements, and ensure GIS deliverables support project objectives.
Perform other GIS, data analysis, project management, mapping, and reporting duties as assigned.
