The GIS Mapper series performs technical cadastral mapping and geographic information systems work to create, maintain, analyze, and quality-control parcel, ownership, subdivision, taxing district, and related spatial data. This work supports the accuracy and completion of the annual assessment roll. Level II is the full-performance level, where employees independently and accurately perform regularly assigned duties, including moderately complex assignments; this level has no direct reports or supervisory responsibilities. Level III is the advanced working-lead level, where employees independently handle the most difficult and complex assignments, assign and review work under a supervisor’s direction, train and provide technical assistance to other employees, and assist with special projects, workflow coordination, problem resolution, system enhancements, and process improvements. Level III has no direct reports or formal supervisory authority. This is an in-person position, and candidates must reside in South Florida. The application deadline is November 19, 2026.
