GIS Lead
About The Position
A key GIS technical resource and support, responsible for the spatial and tabular databases of the GIS. This role oversees data automation and maintenance, and maintains GIS hardware, software, and associated components. The position serves as a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for all GIS tools for Union Pacific. Requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of ESRI desktop software (ARCGIS pro, ARCGIS online, etc.). Understands GIS operations and how they differ from other IT systems, and how these differences affect system usage and administration. Responsible for providing for the design, development, and maintenance of the geospatial platform. Requires 10+ years of experience in GIS technical systems and experience in various technologies such as Python, Angular, Java, CI/CD tools, service-oriented architecture, and the ARCGIS ESRI product suite. Strong problem-solving and cross-functional skills are essential.

Responsibilities
