GIS Intern
About The Position
Michael Baker International is seeking to hire Part-Time Interns to work in the field in Illinois. This opportunity is open to all applicants seeking an Internship within the Geospatial discipline. In this Internship, you will get the opportunity to work with a team of seasoned GIS and Project Managers to assist on Indoor Mapping field collection projects with technical duties and daily activities. Work will be conducted Friday-Sunday at approximately 20-40 hours per week. In order to be considered for this Internship, you must currently reside in the state of Illinois and have a valid US Driver's License. Travel expenses will be covered for those traveling within the State of Illinois.
Requirements
- Currently reside in the state of Illinois
- Have a valid US Driver's License
- Working toward an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Science, or related field of study
- Software proficiency – GIS, Microsoft Office
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in organization and presentation of documentation
Nice To Haves
- Focus in GIS, Geography or Environmental Practice preferred
