Join HDR for a Summer 2027 internship in our Resources Business group focusing on GIS. As part of our Industrial sector, you’ll help shape efficient, advanced infrastructure and environmental stewardship. We partner with clients across industries to responsibly optimize processes, modernize facilities and solve complex challenges. Our work spans the full project life cycle, from up-front evaluation and planning studies through design and into construction monitoring and operations. You can help clients push boundaries and meet evolving industrial demands while supporting resilient infrastructure and responsible growth. Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to local/regional candidates pursuing a Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Sciences Degree, or closely related field during Summer 2027.
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry

Responsibilities

  • Participate in real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' programs
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
  • Perform other duties as needed
