Requirements

Current resident of WI
Valid WI Driver’s License during application.
Currently pursuing or have a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources, Geography, or another GIS-related field.
Ability to use a Computer, general office equipment, camera, GPS unit and smartphone/ipad.
Knowledge of all related computer and software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets.
Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, reports, short correspondence and memos and follow instructions.

Nice To Haves

At least one (1) year of mapping or GIS experience.
Experience with the ESRI GIS package.
Experience with collecting GIS field data.

Responsibilities

Collect data in the field.
Review GIS data after it is collected in field and review for errors using ESRI ArcPro software
Train and assist staff with the collection of data in the field.
Troubleshoot and maintain GPS receiver equipment.
Maintain and update ESRI field maps and office editing maps.
Other duties as necessary for the Park Planning Division workload
