Requirements

  • Current resident of WI
  • Valid WI Driver’s License during application.
  • Currently pursuing or have a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources, Geography, or another GIS-related field.
  • Ability to use a Computer, general office equipment, camera, GPS unit and smartphone/ipad.
  • Knowledge of all related computer and software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, reports, short correspondence and memos and follow instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one (1) year of mapping or GIS experience.
  • Experience with the ESRI GIS package.
  • Experience with collecting GIS field data.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data in the field.
  • Review GIS data after it is collected in field and review for errors using ESRI ArcPro software
  • Train and assist staff with the collection of data in the field.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain GPS receiver equipment.
  • Maintain and update ESRI field maps and office editing maps.
  • Other duties as necessary for the Park Planning Division workload
