About The Position

To assist in the development, manipulation, organization, analysis, and presentation of GIS data. Essential duties and responsibilities include updating the basemap with real estate documents, standardizing the district basemap features to be consistent with each campus, and adding utilities, MEP systems, Sustainability features, and other features to the campus maps.

Requirements

Mapping principles including creating and editing maps, building layers, importing external data and shape files
Location and geocoding concepts as related to mapping
Using data analysis in the context of location for trends and patterns
Maintaining an established work schedule
Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy
Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through
Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
Ability to work independently within departmental policies and guidelines
Respecting a unique and multicultural environment
Demonstrated proficiency with standard office software
Demonstrated proficiency with GIS software
High school diploma or equivalent with a College level course in GIS
One year related experience
Work safely and follow safety rules
Report unsafe working conditions and behavior
Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices
