About The Position

This GIS Engineer will administer and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Data Store, databases) for high availability, performance, and security. This role involves managing upgrades, patching, and versions for ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and related GIS infrastructure. The engineer will serve as Portal Admin, managing users, roles, groups, licensing, permissions, and securing access to enterprise geodatabases and services. The position requires identifying location-based factors influencing store success and delivering spatial insights to support Research and Real Estate teams. Participation in the new store approval process, including ad-hoc spatial analysis using ArcGIS and related tools, is expected. Collaboration with functional teams using GIS technologies and spatial data analysis to uncover insights for strategic business decisions, integrating maps and dashboards into presentations and planning, is key. The role also involves creating and managing GIS dashboards, custom maps, and spatial visualizations to communicate geographic trends, site characteristics, and key business metrics, as well as assessing the effectiveness and accuracy of new spatial data sources and geocoding methods. Additionally, the engineer will develop custom workflows using Alteryx and ArcGIS to analyze large, complex spatial datasets, publish, configure, tune, and maintain hosted/referenced feature, map, and geoprocessing services, and design, develop, and maintain web apps, dashboards, Survey123 forms, and custom GIS solutions. Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines and automated workflows (ArcGIS, Alteryx, Python/ArcPy) for data quality and system stability are also responsibilities. Finally, the role includes partnering with IT, cloud, and DB teams on infrastructure planning, backups, DR, and security compliance for geospatial systems, and supervising and providing technical leadership to a GIS Analyst.
