About The Position

The State of Georgia is seeking an experienced GIS Developer to support the Enterprise GIS Team within IT Applications. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise GIS web applications and services using Esri ArcGIS technologies. This role involves configuring and developing custom ArcGIS Enterprise solutions integrated with .NET applications, enterprise databases, data warehouses, and reporting platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise, web GIS development, geospatial services, and enterprise application integration. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams including database, network, server, and application development teams while following SDLC standards, security policies, and best practices.

Requirements

Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise platform
Hands-on experience developing ArcGIS web applications and services
Experience with: ArcGIS Maps SDK, Experience Builder, ArcGIS Portal/Online/Hub, Field Maps
Proficiency in GIS web development technologies
Experience integrating GIS applications with .NET environments
Strong knowledge of Oracle, Oracle Exadata, and SQL Server databases
Experience with enterprise reporting tools such as Power BI or OBIEE
Experience developing ETL/data automation scripts
Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and secure coding standards
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise GIS web, mobile, and desktop applications
Configure and develop custom applications using: ArcGIS Enterprise 11.x / 12.x, ArcGIS Maps SDK, Experience Builder, ArcGIS Portal/Online/Hub, Field Maps
Develop GIS web services and geoprocessing solutions
Build and maintain GIS web editing and mapping applications
Integrate GIS applications with: .NET applications, Oracle / Oracle Exadata, SQL Server, Power BI, OBIEE / Data Visualizer
Perform unit, system, integration, and performance testing
Upgrade and migrate existing GIS applications/services to modern architectures
Develop ETL scripts and automate geospatial data processing workflows
Troubleshoot and resolve complex GIS application and support issues
Implement security controls and ensure compliance with enterprise standards
Produce technical documentation and solution artifacts
Collaborate with developers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders
Provide technical guidance and mentor GIS team members
Participate in project planning, effort estimation, and delivery management
