About The Position

The Bay School is seeking an enthusiastic and patient Girls Varsity Golf Head Coach for the Fall 2026 season. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small, supportive team of student-athletes, many of whom are new to the game of golf. We're looking for a coach who enjoys teaching fundamentals, fostering confidence, and creating a positive team environment where every athlete can grow both on and off the course.

Requirements

• Experience playing and/or coaching golf.
• Passion for teaching beginners and developing young athletes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to transport the team to away competitions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous coaching experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging practices focused on golf fundamentals and skill development.
• Teach beginner golfers proper swing mechanics, etiquette, rules, and course management.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging team culture.
• Coach athletes during practices and competitive matches throughout the season.
• Transport student-athletes from The Bay School to away matches (school transportation procedures apply).
• Communicate effectively with players, families, and the athletic department.
• Represent The Bay School with professionalism and integrity.
