About The Position

The Girls Lacrosse Coach at Mt. Blue Middle School is responsible for instructing athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. The coach must also instill positive character development, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride in accomplishment among student athletes. This role involves upgrading personal knowledge and skills through coaching clinics, observations, and consultations. The coach must have a thorough understanding of all athletic policies approved by the Mt. Blue District Schools' Board of Education and ensure their implementation, along with knowledge of system, state, and league regulations.

Requirements

Must be at least 20 years of age, or a high school graduate.
Valid CHRC certification.
Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.
Ability to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through instructions and actions.
Demonstrate ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.

Nice To Haves

Comprehensive knowledge of the game is preferred.
Knowledge of current coaching techniques and procedures.
Knowledge of NFHS and MPA Rules.
