About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and knowledgeable Girls Junior Varsity Basketball Coach to lead and develop our JV basketball program. The successful candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture while emphasizing sportsmanship, skill development, teamwork, and personal growth.

Requirements

• Previous basketball coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
• Experience working with high school-aged students is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes in a positive environment.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Successful completion of required background checks and district hiring requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct effective, engaging practices focused on skill development and team concepts.
• Coach and supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events.
• Promote sportsmanship, respect, accountability, and academic success.
• Collaborate with the varsity coaching staff to ensure program continuity and player development.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administrators, and athletic department staff.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
• Maintain equipment and assist with program organization as needed.
• Adhere to school, league, and state athletic association policies and regulations.
