About The Position

The Gift Shop Manager oversees all daily operations of the hospital gift shop, ensuring an inviting, efficient, and customer‑focused retail environment. This role is responsible for selecting, ordering, and maintaining merchandise across multiple product lines, as well as participating in buying activities to meet the needs of patients, visitors, and staff. The manager receives and processes all incoming merchandise, including unpacking, verifying shipments, pricing items, and maintaining appealing displays. Additional responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, tracking daily sales, preparing monthly register and sales reports, and coordinating with the accounting department to ensure timely processing of vendor invoices. The Gift Shop Manager ensures smooth operational workflows while upholding excellent service standards and supporting the hospital’s mission and culture.

Requirements

High School Graduate or GED.
A minimum of three (3) years working in retail or sales.
Cash register and computer experience necessary.
Strong Customer Service required.

Nice To Haves

Five (5) years of management experience preferred.
