About The Position

Valley of the Temples is hiring a Gift Shop Associate in Kaneohe, Hawaii. The role supports customers and visitors at the front flower booth and temple, helping them have a positive experience and directing them to the correct location. Duties include cashiering and processing credit card transactions, cutting flowers, opening or closing the booth, receiving deliveries, merchandising, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and organization. Associates may also turn cars around after closing and periodically assist with temple parking. The position offers a purpose-filled work environment focused on care, comfort, and service to the community.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
Weekend availability and flexible scheduling.

Retail and customer service experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers, temple visitors, and grave visitors, ensuring a positive experience and directing them to the correct place.
Maintain the flow of customers waiting to check out.
Keep the booth clean and organized; restock shelves and merchandise products for proper display.
Conduct stock checks and manage inventory and merchandising.
Receive and process deliveries.
Accurately and efficiently operate the point-of-sale system to handle sales transactions and returns.
Cut flowers and open and/or close the front booth.
Turn cars around after closing and periodically help with parking at the temple.
Support and collaborate with the team.
