The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of strong retail sales experience. In addition to the Tuesday- Saturday shifts, this position works independently all Saturday, and holiday shifts in The Park Flower and Gift Shop and is responsible for securing the store, locking doors, and preparing the store for the next day’s opening. Requirements

  • A warm, professional, and empathetic approach to customer service.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide wayfinding and resource support to patients, families, and staff.
  • Confidence in handling cash, credit, and inventory transactions accurately.
  • A flexible, collegial spirit with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Dedication to helping others, whether offering a listening ear, easing stress, or ensuring a comforting shopping experience.
  • Integrity and attention to detail in safeguarding customer information and maintaining compliance with PCI standards.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • One year Retail sales experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized service that uplifts and supports every visitor.
  • Provide expert knowledge of merchandise across four Gift Shop locations, customizing recommendations for patients, caregivers, and staff.
  • Offer wayfinding guidance, order assistance, and compassionate customer interaction, including during emotional or stressful moments.
  • Process sales.
  • Use the Counterpoint Point-of-Sale (POS) system for transactions, reporting, and inventory management.
  • Restock shelves, coordinate merchandise displays, and help manage deliveries and transfers across multiple locations.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and support annual physical inventories.
  • Open and close the shop independently on Saturdays and assigned holidays, ensuring it’s secure and ready for the next day.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and safety, ensuring accessibility for all customers.
  • Support shop supervisors in ordering, receiving, and auditing merchandise.
  • Foster collegial relationships with peers and leadership across all Gift Shop locations.
  • Step in to cover other shops when needed, ensuring continuity of care and service.
