Oversees gift shop associates by monitoring productivity and established metrics through activity observation and key reports which include payroll, point-of-sale, and inventory. Assists in onboarding, training, and scheduling associates, for daily operational execution. Recommends improvements for department scores on employee engagement. SERVICE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Serves as the point of contact for questions regarding incoming merchandise, utilizing excellent product knowledge and visual merchandising skills. Leads excellent customer service procedures, merchandise, and sales floor presentation standards through role modeling and associate education. Contributes to meeting/exceeding department and organization targets for patient satisfaction measures. QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs daily/weekly operational checklists and audits including inspection of assigned departments and locations. Supports flow of merchandise to the sales floor within procedural timeframe while ensuring merchandise is organized utilizing visual merchandising/recovery standards and communicates any variances of standards to management. Follows up on associate action items to ensure completion of assignments. Leads initiatives for improving department/hospital quality and safety scores. FINANCE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assists the management team in maximizing sales and profits by meeting sales goals and budget requirements while minimizing loss and supporting all store profitability processes. Meets with vendor representatives, providing trend data, and metrics as needed. Contributes to profitability of the organization by supporting all promotional programs and reports deficiencies in compliance to the store manager. GROWTH/INNOVATION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assist management in executing the purchasing and allocation of merchandise for store(s) and develops in-season forecasts and future merchandise plans for assigned departments. Facilitates innovative solutions through participation in performance improvement projects and activities. Facilitates the analysis of monthly store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall store performance and understands the store evaluation program and directly involved with management visit feedback and follow-up as needed. Seeks opportunities to identify self-development needs and takes appropriate action. Ensures own career discussions occur with appropriate management. Completes and updates the My Development Plan on an on-going basis.
