About The Position

Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop. The Production Assistant prepares, packages, and labels product for display and sale in the Gift Center department, as well as other departments including Bakery, BBQ, Deli, Fish, Ice Cream, Meat, Pizza, Produce and Salad Bar.

Requirements

Entry level position; no prior experience required.
Safely use tools and equipment used in the daily operation of department.
Great customer service.
Good oral communication.
Great work ethic.
Problem solver.
Self-motivator.
Flexible.
Honest.
Must be at least 18 years and older.

Responsibilities

Prepare, package and label product for display and sale in various departments.
Review production plan.
Execute production using established guidelines and standards.
Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
Assist in other duties, as assigned.
Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store.
Ensure excellent quality product.
Create a memorable shopping experience for our customers.
Be a positive ambassador for the store, representing S.T.E.W. values.
