Giants Baseball & Softball Camps Director (Los Altos Hills - South Bay)
About The Position
Giants Baseball Camps is now hiring a Site Director for our summer youth baseball and softball camps throughout the Bay Area. Giants Summer Camps is looking for a Site Director in the Bay Area who is energetic, positive, and who loves to inspire our youth to make good choices and be accountable for their actions and decisions - all while having a great time! We provide the equipment, training, and curriculum. You provide the leadership that will help our campers have a wonderful learning experience and leave camp with a love of the game, new friends, better baseball/softball skills, and an appreciation for the importance of personal accountability. We have a number of different positions available for our baseball and softball camps - from Coach to Site Director - and we need a variety of coaching skill levels to enhance the experience for ages 4 through 13. Requirements
- Be prepared to make a 10 week commitment Monday-Friday for approximately eight hours per day
- Be prepared to travel to each site with reliable transportation of your own
- Be able to pass a comprehensive background screening
- Be a polished professional with demonstrated leadership ability
- At times be responsible for driving a rented cargo van & having a safe space to park it
- At a minimum, you must be familiar with the basic fundamentals of baseball
- Have experience and comfort with technology to ensure efficient camp operations
- Is an experienced leader, self-starter, and excellent communicator
- Has experience working with children ages 4-13
- Has experience coaching and/or playing baseball/softball at a high school level or higher
- Is able to connect with children both one-on-one and in a group setting
- Is acutely aware of both physical and emotional safety, coupled with the ability to problem-solve in real time
- Leads by example with strong character, integrity, and a positive attitude
- Is dependable and reliable; someone we can count on to be there, no matter what.
- Thrives on providing candid feedback to his or her team members, helping them grow both personally and professionally

Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe camp environment for all campers
- Supervise, manage, and motivate staff and campers, ensuring that the camp experience is delivered at a high level
- Execute San Francisco Giants Baseball Camps Curriculum daily, under the direction of the Site Director
- Provide feedback and suggestions during drills and games
- Highlight teachable moments for campers and coaches to learn and grow from
- Work together with other team members from various backgrounds to uphold the Giants Baseball Camps stellar reputation
