About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse in the provision of patient care in the Endoscopy Services Unit. Participates in quality patient care delivery, efficient patient flow and effective communication with health care team. Integration of patient care standards are incorporated into all clinical activities.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One year experience in Endoscopy Unit as a GI Lab technician required.
  • Proficient in word processing and order entry.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Computer and order entry skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to manage, prioritize, and complete work assignments and other duties as assigned within the defined timeframes.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong education and associated experiential background (in lieu of one year GI Lab technician experience).
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program.
