Requirements
- GI tech experience and/or patient care experience (medical assistant, patient care technician, etc.)
- Ability to learn IDX and EPIC applications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)

- Strong customer service skills preferred, some desk duties required
Responsibilities
- Prepare rooms and equipment before bronchoscope procedures and clean up and sterilize after procedures
- Maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies for bronchoscope procedures
- Ensure equipment functions properly
- Prepare waiting and recovery rooms or procedure suites
- Maintain bronchoscope equipment, including cleaning, disinfecting and calibrating instruments according to manufacturer guidelines
- Transport patients according to medical personnel instructions
- Help physicians and nurses perform procedures
- Attend training as necessary to enhance or refresh skills
- Collect specimens from patients
- Collaborate effectively with other care providers regarding procedures and patients' conditions
- Stay current on bronchoscopy developments by reading literature, speaking with colleagues or participating in professional organizations
- Assist with Business Office Support duties and will be trained to EPIC applications and front desk registration & copay collection
