About The Position

Specialty Surgical Center of Westlake Village is seeking a full-time GI Tech to provide professional care to patients undergoing GI and pain management procedures. The role works cooperatively with physicians and staff and contributes to a supportive, team-oriented care environment. The GI Tech prepares equipment and supplies, anticipates physician and patient needs during GI procedures, assesses patients before procedures, and maintains the clinical area and equipment in accordance with Center policies.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly.
• Conscientious, organized, and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room and GI lab environment.
• Ability to function as a team player.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to communicate and understand English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional care to patients undergoing GI and pain management procedures according to established procedures.
• Work cooperatively with physicians and staff as a team player.
• Prepare equipment and anticipate physician and patient needs for GI procedures.
• Assess patients prior to procedures.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area.
• Clean and maintain equipment according to Center policy.
• Provide general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment.
