The GI Lab Technician performs various patient care activities in the GI Lab/Minor Procedure department under the supervision of a physician and nurse. The GI Lab Technician also assists physicians and nurses with cases and daily functions of the department. We ask that you feel comfortable if asked to assist with the medical procedures. In this position you will ensure that all equipment is clean and functioning properly and prepare the room for procedures.
Requirements
- One year of related experience
- Basic computer skills
- High School/G.E.D. required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required
Responsibilities
- Performs various patient care activities in the GI Lab/Minor Procedure department under the supervision of a physician and nurse.
- Assists physicians and nurses with cases and daily functions of the department.
- Assists with medical procedures.
- Ensures that all equipment is clean and functioning properly.
- Prepares the room for procedures.
