About The Position

Atria Health Institute is a membership-based primary and specialty health care practice focused on prevention and longevity. They offer a multidisciplinary team of physicians providing proactive, preventive, and precision-based care. Services include primary care, advanced screening and diagnostics, urgent care, specialty care, 24/7 home visits, and imaging, all included in members' annual fee. Their mission is to make healthspan and lifespan equal for all by translating science into medicine in real-time and bringing humanity back into health care. Following successful openings in New York and South Florida, Atria is launching its Los Angeles Institute in late spring 2026. This role is for an Advanced Care Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the GI team and collaborate with the GI Chief Medical Officer. Ideal candidates will be committed to high-quality patient care, possess an innovative and forward-thinking approach, have strong GI experience, and knowledge of internal medicine. Experience in urgent care, primary care, or family medicine with comfort treating the adult population is highly preferred.

Requirements

  • Current CA License required as NP for specialty, or current CA Licensed PA
  • 2+ year’s experience as a practicing NP or PA-C
  • BLS & ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Availability to be flexible with weekend coverage
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive GI-focused patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and development of differential diagnoses and treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Provide specialty gastroenterology care by prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and implementing evidence-based treatment interventions.
  • Manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans to optimize clinical outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on GI health, disease prevention, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, screening recommendations, and long-term condition management.
  • Collaborate with gastroenterologists, hepatologists, primary care providers, dietitians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Perform clinical procedures and skills relevant to gastroenterology, including phlebotomy, IV insertion, EKGs, and care management related to GI procedures.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, procedure documentation, and follow-up care.
  • Adhere to all ethical, legal, regulatory, and professional standards governing advanced practice, ensuring patient confidentiality, safety, and quality of care.
