The Global Hawk Field Service Support team is seeking a System Engineer for our multi-disciplinary test team at the Global Hawk integration and test site. In this key role, you will support and guide complex test operations, ensuring the successful planning, development, and execution of system tests. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in system engineering principles, software, and proven expertise in test processes and methodologies. What You Will Do: Candidate will work with a small team to maintain integrated ground segment equipment during laboratory Integration and Test as well as AF flight programs to for operational evaluation and other flight test objectives. Debug software and hardware issues found during integration and test. Perform system maintenance and upgrades as well as troubleshooting problems. Install and troubleshoot experimental HW/SW, provide feedback to engineering and work with offsite engineering in a collaborative manner. Troubleshooting will include industry standard IT systems as well as program specific hardware, software, and procedures. Work closely with customer representatives to provide status and integrate customer changes. Provide solutions and find ways to make test activities more efficient and effective. Work different shifts as required to support the mission. Requires short-term assignments to both CONUS and OCONUS locations for operational support.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • 2 years’ experience as a system administrator or development/support in Linux, Solaris, Irix or another Unix environment.
  • Experience performing complex troubleshooting and analysis to correct system discrepancies.
  • Experience developing and maintaining system documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

  • Possess communication skills necessary for problem resolution with military/corporate customers and vendors. Interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring coordination between organizations
  • Strong teamwork skills – Ability to interact productively with other Raytheon Technologies Field Engineers and customers in a team setting.
  • Work independently to develop timely and effective solutions to technical problems of various scopes and complexity.
  • Work experience with the USAF or other DoD organizations
