About The Position

GFL Environmental is looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented GGI Plant Operator to join our Liquid Waste Operations team. As a vital part of our crew, you'll keep the gravity intercept systems flowing smoothly, ensure top-tier safety standards, and help us turn our "Green for Life" mission into daily action. As a GGI Plant Operator, you aren't just running machinery—you are managing the specialized gravity separation systems that keep our groundwater clean and our communities safe. Working under the Liquid Waste Operations (LWO) umbrella, you will monitor, maintain, and master the flow of our intercept facility. If you enjoy a job where no two days are exactly the same and your hard work makes a real-world impact, we want you on our team!

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in an industrial environment, wastewater treatment, water processing, or liquid waste operations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain site-specific equipment operations certifications (e.g., forklift) and clear any required local environmental/safety training.
  • A team player with a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, and a passion for environmental sustainability.
  • Mechanical aptitude—you love figuring out how things work and how to fix them when they don't.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic equipment manuals, safety signs, and digital control panels.
  • Solid communication skills to collaborate effectively with your supervisor and team members.
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
