The GFO Associate Client Investment Officer provides investment management support by maintaining awareness of portfolio asset allocation and construction and prepares review material for client meetings. This role involves daily review of client portfolios to identify issues, executing transactions to rebalance client investment programs, and working with bank partners to post client buy/sell transactions. The officer partners with the portfolio management team and manager research on all additions, replacements, and removal of managers/investments from client programs, and coordinates with the performance team to analyze and prepare client portfolio information. The position requires verifying data accuracy, completing all client deliverables in a timely manner while accommodating unique client requirements, and ensuring client and process procedures are maintained and updated regularly. The role operates independently, carrying out complex activities with significant financial, client, and business impact, and may participate in client meetings while maintaining awareness of Northern Trust’s economic and market expectations.
