About The Position

Progesys is a recognized firm in industrial project management and their optimal transitions from construction to operation. The company has been based in Laval (Canada) since 2002 and has offices in the United States, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. Progesys is looking for a Project Manager with a background in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating geotechnical drilling and exploration camp expansion activities, while liaising between contractors and the various project teams to ensure safe, efficient, and schedule-compliant execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management or coordination in the mining, civil, geotechnical, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven knowledge of project management principles and processes, as recognized by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Understand the methods and resources used by engaged functions to carry out project activities, e.g., engineering, business knowledge (contractual strategy, BD, client relations), licenses, quality assurance, purchasing, finance, etc.
  • Strong computer skills; advanced level proficiency with project planning software (e.g., Primavera P6), Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French (written and spoken) (Bilingualism is required for this position as the employee will need to communicate with stakeholders who do not speak French).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate geotechnical drilling activities and exploration camp expansion work.
  • Act as the main point of contact between contractors and the various project teams.
  • Ensure coordination with logistics, environment, health and safety (EHS), procurement, and other stakeholder teams.
  • Monitor adherence to schedules, identify risks, and propose solutions to ensure work progress.
  • Facilitate communication between different stakeholders and ensure follow-up on actions.
  • Produce regular updates on activity progress and project issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Ensure proactive coordination of activities and intervene with different teams to keep the project on track.
  • Support the planning and execution of exploration program activities.
