In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional partners across Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to support key business priorities and drive continuous improvement. Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in mechanical, industrial engineering with 5 years experience in manufacturing and mechanical design
  • Knowledge of SAP and PLM
  • Member OIQ is a plus
  • Team player, good communication skills
  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison with engineering on incorporating changes to the designs which improve Assembly, manufacturability, performance, cost, reliability or durability of the product.
  • Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control.
  • Communicate customer and program priorities to the different stakeholders.
  • Perform assignments requiring use and application of standard engineering and product development principles and techniques.
  • Develop tools that enable stakeholder alignment on priorities and aid process improvement.
  • Research new processes, methods, and equipment and make recommendations to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Lead the Industrialization activities related to the introduction in production and support development lifecycle activities for potential new programs
  • Develop components sourcing strategies and leveraging manufacturing technology deployment aligned to the development program plan requirements and Supply Chain Commodity Strategies;
  • Plan and drive all aspects of production start-up activities with all relevant key stakeholders.
  • Manage risks and mitigation plan to achieve schedule, quality, cost, budget to secure production strategy meeting customer requirement.
  • Drive implementation of Enterprise initiatives such as APQP, D2C/D4M, and enterprise program management when necessary to meet program objective.
  • Deploy technologies and component sourcing strategies aligned to the development program plan requirements and Supply Chain Operations and Commodity Strategies;
  • Plan, lead and coordinate various activities related to production readiness with stakeholders from Operations, Marketing, and Engineering
  • Establish all aspects of Production Level II start-up activities, including identification of potential program risks, development of mitigation plans and managed start-up budget to secure achievement of schedule, cost, and budget objectives, as well as the production entry strategy aligned with customer requirements.
