Explores human-wildlife relations and the resulting challenges and opportunities for land and water resource management. Discussions include human-wildlife coexistence, rewilding, resource use conflicts, co- management, Indigenous knowledge integration, property regimes, and wildlife animal ethics.

Requirements

  • PhD or ABD (all but dissertation).
  • Expertise in Environmental Studies or Geography.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures for GESC391B-Wildlife & Resource Mgnt-W27 course.
  • Facilitate discussions on human-wildlife coexistence, rewilding, resource use conflicts, co-management, Indigenous knowledge integration, property regimes, and wildlife animal ethics.
  • Manage class activities for an anticipated class size of 100 students.
  • Potentially perform marking and grading, with supplementary remuneration as per Article 28.2.
  • Potentially coordinate large classes or multi-section courses, as per Article 28.3.
