About The Position

The National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Geriatrician to provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management through training from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors, utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. The position involves W2 employment, with physicians earning an average of $300,000 per year plus benefits for a 30-hour work week. Part-time opportunities are also available. The practice is mobile, covering a 40-60 mile radius, with physicians visiting 2-3 facilities per day and treating approximately 20-30 patients daily. Clinical documentation is performed in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
• Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day.
• Treat approximately 20-30 patients per day.
• Perform clinical documentation at the point of care in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
