Geriatrician - Hyattsville, MD
About The Position
National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Geriatrician to provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management through training from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors, utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. The practice involves weekly wound rounds at post-acute care facilities (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals). Clinical documentation is done in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. Paid training is provided during onboarding, along with a 6-month wound care fellowship.
Requirements
- Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
- Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
- Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
- Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
- Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
- Perform clinical documentation in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
