About The Position

UHS is seeking a Geriatrician or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine trained physician with experience in Geriatrics for a busy, well established practice. Our Geriatricians work primarily in the nursing homes and assisted living facilities with limited outpatient geriatrics as well. We are providing geriatrics inpatient services in collaboration with Trauma and Ortho teams on a limited scale with plans to increase the coverage moving forward. Must be board certified/eligible and have completed an ACGME accredited Geriatric fellowship or IM or FM residency. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: UHS Geriatric Medicine. We are expanding our coverage in the local nursing homes as well as Assisted Living facilities and have a vision of starting exclusive outpatient Geriatrics practice to better serve aging population in our area. Other opportunities include medical directorship in the skilled nursing facility and teaching FM/ IM residents based on the interest of the applicants.

Requirements

Board certified/eligible
Completed an ACGME accredited Geriatric fellowship or IM or FM residency
MD or DO
