About The Position

Lorien Columbia is seeking Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs) to join their award-winning team. Lorien emphasizes compassion, excellence, and teamwork in its nursing home and assisted living services. Lorien Columbia, the flagship location of Lorien Health Services, has been serving the Howard County, MD community since 1977. The facility provides skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy, and includes the only Korean nursing unit in Howard County. With 215 beds across five nursing units and plans for expansion, Lorien Columbia is a nationally recognized facility, named one of the Top Nursing Homes in Maryland by Newsweek Magazine since 2020. Requirements

• Active Maryland CNA I license- (formally known as a Maryland GNA)

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient‑centered care to residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility
• Observe residents for changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition and report concerns promptly to nursing staff
• Document care provided accurately and in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Deliver hands‑on support under the direction of the Director of Nursing and licensed nursing staff
• Follow all safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Promote dignity, comfort, independence, and quality of life for every resident
