Requirements

Able to handle difficult or emotional situations

Adheres to the resident’s bill of rights.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Geriatric Nursing Assistant Certification
Certified Medicine Tech
CPR
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, and push and pull moderate loads.

Responsibilities

Provides direct care to the residents by bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and maintaining hygiene.
Maintains a safe environment for residents by ensuring that call lights are within reach of residents, responding to call lights promptly, and completing rounds to check on residents.
Observes the resident's well-being by taking, documenting, and reporting changes in vital signs, blood pressure, and weight, and reporting to Charge Nurse any observed change in the resident’s condition.
Documents resident information as required.
