Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
2–3 years of geotechnical engineering experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

Geotechnical engineering emphasis
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering
Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
Experience with GDOT or other DOT projects
Experience preparing geotechnical reports and engineering recommendations
Interest in obtaining PE licensure

Responsibilities

Perform geotechnical engineering investigations and evaluations.
Assist with project planning, proposals, scope development, and scheduling.
Analyze subsurface conditions and develop engineering recommendations.
Prepare geotechnical reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
Coordinate drilling, laboratory testing, and field investigations.
Perform construction observations, quality assurance, and quality control activities.
Support foundation, earthwork, pavement, and retaining wall recommendations.
Communicate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Assist with project budgeting and tracking.
