About The Position

Braun Intertec is seeking a highly motivated Project/Senior Engineer to join our Mission Critical Team. This position manages moderate to complex geotechnical projects specifically related to mission critical development by providing the technical expertise required to exceed client expectations. We offer a hybrid work environment based out of one of our local offices, providing flexibility to work from home and in an office environment. Preferred office locations are in the Dallas-Forth-Worth area of Texas. Braun Intertec is a 100% employee-owned environmental consulting, geotechnical engineering, and testing firm with 1,000 employees across ten states.

Requirements

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and communicate project budgets.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering field required.
  • Professional Engineer registration/licensure.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • As needed, ability to travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Six or more years of construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering experience preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience with large scale construction projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scopes of work and prepare proposals for moderate to complex geotechnical engineering projects, primarily in the mission critical field.
  • Prepare proposals for moderate to complex projects.
  • Review field logs and soil samples for classification and boring log preparation.
  • Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies.
  • Make geotechnical recommendations and prepares engineering reports for principal review.
  • Manage routine to complex geotechnical engineering projects including project scope, schedule, budget, and safety.
  • Work independently on specific assignments of limited scope with Principal review.
  • Perform quality review of work performed by assigned staff; identify, investigate, and resolve internal and external quality issues on projects.
  • Coordinate with regional operations to effectively coordinate staff, resources, and workloads.
  • Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Support client relationships to effectively achieve mission critical market sector goals and strategies.
  • As needed, perform various field testing and observations.
  • As needed, assist field operations with technician training and review.
  • Must be action oriented, able to effectively/efficiently manage time, and able to learn quickly.
