About The Position

Intertek is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to join its Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team. The position performs geotechnical testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or established procedures. The role directs geotechnical assignments such as field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, report preparation, and technical review. It also supports quality control, client relationships, business development, staff mentoring, and engagement with professional and technical organizations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
At least 3 years of progressive Geotechnical Engineering experience, including active project management experience.
Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
Strong understanding and knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering and related disciplines, with the ability and desire to provide creative, practical solutions for clients.
Valid driver's license and reliable driving record.
Expected travel of less than 5% of the time.

Nice To Haves

Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

Responsibilities

Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments, including field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, report preparation, and technical review.
Provide quality-control review of proposals and reports and direct operations to meet client commitments consistently.
Participate in business development and marketing efforts and establish and maintain client relationships on technical aspects of assignments.
Mentor and train senior and junior professional staff.
Participate in relationship building with professional and technical organizations.
Perform testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties.
