About The Position

Intertek is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to join their Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in Pittsburgh, PA. This role offers a career opportunity in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. Intertek-PSI is a leading US provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection in civil and commercial construction, with services including construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
• 3+ years of progressive Geotechnical Engineering experience with active project management experience required
• Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills are essential
• Excellent understanding and knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering and related disciplines with the ability and desire to provide creative and practical solutions to meet the client's needs
• Expected travel up to 15% of the time
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required)

Nice To Haves

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.
• Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments including field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, report preparation and report technical review.
• Provide quality control review of proposals and reports and direct operations to consistently meet client commitments.
• Actively participate in business development and marketing efforts while establishing and maintaining client relationships related to technical aspects of client assignments.
• Responsible for the mentoring and training of senior and junior professional staff professionals.
• Actively participate in relationship building with professional and technical organizations.
