Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technologies, or a related field
  • Typically 5-10 years of experience
  • P.E. license require
  • Must be a team leader who can lead growth and success through F&R values
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to multi-task and meat deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams to achieve goals
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record
  • Ability to continuously sit, stand, and walk
  • Ability to occasionally lift less than 20 lbs
  • Ability to work outside in frequent changes of temperatures
  • Ability to occasionally bend, squat, climb, push, and pull
  • Ability to work in environments containing dust and fumes
  • Ability to drive to and from work sites, must have valid driver’s license with good-standing driving record
  • Ability to occasionally travel overnight (less than 35%)

Responsibilities

  • Project management of geotechnical engineering on large and/or multiple projects addressing earthwork and foundation materials
  • Manages geotechnical engineering projects from inception, including project schedules and budgets
  • Preparation of geotechnical engineering project work scopes, schedules, budgets, invoices and proposals
  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to provide quality engineering services
  • Subsurface investigations including borings and test pits
  • Oversees and provides guidance for staff that may include other engineers, geologists, drill crews and subcontractors to ensure our goal of exceeding our clients’ expectations on every project
  • Coordinates and communicates with contractors and clients
  • Satisfies multiple and unrelated deadlines
  • Prepares technical reports and letters
  • Other duties as assigned
