Geotechnical Principal
About The Position
The Geotechnical Principal will provide technical expertise and support to Geotechnical staff within a branch and region. This role involves hosting or attending project meetings with clients and ECS staff to offer technical solutions. Responsibilities may include mentoring Associate Principals and participating in the review committee for candidates seeking Associate Principal designation. The position requires overseeing projects, performing technical report reviews, preparing and reviewing proposals, assisting with department management and P&L, and contributing to business development through client interactions and marketing efforts. Additionally, the role involves assisting hiring managers with staffing decisions and leading/coaching junior staff. Due to interdepartmental collaboration, duties may extend to performing similar tasks in CMT.
Requirements
- Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar.
- 12 years of related experience.
- Designation as a senior reviewer at current or previous firm.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license in each state of work.
- Valid driver's license (if driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary).
Responsibilities

- Perform tasks in CMT due to low barriers between departments.
