EnVision Consultants Ltd. is looking for a motivated and team-oriented person to join our Geotechnical team as a Field Technician. Ideal candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities and demonstrate the capacity to effectively manage internal and external relationships. Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in engineering or a related discipline
  • 0 - 4 years of experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues
  • A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance

Responsibilities

  • Field work associated with our services ie. geotechnical investigations which will include marking and layout of boreholes, coordinating and supervising drilling operations, geotechnical and environmental soil sampling, surveying of boreholes, etc.)
  • Preparation of borehole logs and technical reports
  • Project management of jobs and scheduling
  • Communications with the client and project teams to assist with the execution of work
  • Assist with proposal preparation
  • Involvement in Health and Safety programs
  • Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario
  • Any other functions assigned as part of your employment
