About The Position

Ripple Effect Consulting is hiring an entry-level Geotechnical Field Technician in Gypsum, CO. This is a hands-on opportunity designed for individuals who want to build a long-term career in the construction and engineering industry. No direct experience is required; individuals with backgrounds in construction, landscaping, general labor, utilities, warehouse work, ranching, or geology are encouraged to apply. The role involves working directly with experienced professionals, gaining real-world skills, and earning industry-recognized certifications that increase value and income. The position is full-time, with a schedule of Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays, and hours typically ranging from 40 to 60 per week due to seasonal demand. The pay starts at $22 to $26 per hour, with opportunities for raises based on certifications.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (no more than 4 points)
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to pass a federal drug screening
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Background in construction, landscaping, general labor, utilities, warehouse work, ranching, or geology

Responsibilities

  • Perform field testing on construction materials across job sites in the Gypsum area
  • Test concrete, asphalt, and soils for quality and compliance
  • Safely drive a company vehicle to and from job sites
  • Work closely with site supervisors, engineers, and contractors
  • Document and input field testing data accurately
