Provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients. In general, this includes executing field investigations, performing engineering evaluations, and aiding in the preparation of geotechnical recommendations, performing field observation and geotechnical inspection including nuclear density testing, thorough documentation of field observations, aiding in preparing proposals and reports. Other job functions may include reviewing construction documents and work products prepared by others, fee estimates for geotechnical services, assisting project engineers with tracking and evaluate project progress, budgets, and change orders, performing onsite testing, perform literary reviews and site research to support project scoping efforts, site reconnaissance in support of geotechnical investigations, marking sites for public utility locate requests, reviewing and evaluating field and laboratory data, prepare field and digital exploration logs. Must demonstrate sound organizational skills and strong written and verbal communications skills in all project-related interactions with clients, staff, and peers. Must be willing to travel to support projects outside of the local Seattle area which may include central and eastern Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. Must be physically capable of lifting at least 50 pounds and transiting job site on foot for up to 12 hours. Must be capable of driving long distances (at least 8 hours).
