About The Position

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a Geotechnical Field Engineer to manage a variety of geotechnical projects from our Kennesaw, GA office. This role involves performing and/or leading field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, and recommendations. It also includes the design and development of plans and specifications, and the writing, preparation, and review of related reports for services provided. The position requires approximately 90% fieldwork and 10% office work. A valid driver's license is necessary, along with the ability to pass a background check and MVR report.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or similar degree is required.
0 - 3 years applicable experience (willing to accept entry-level applicants).
E.I.T. required or ability to obtain within 3 months.
Strong communication skills.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Ability to pass a background check and MVR report.

Responsibilities

Operating and maintaining geotechnical testing equipment.
Classifying soil, rock, and geological samples obtained from drilling operations.
Assisting in developing the scope and budget of work for routine projects.
Analyzing data, performing engineering calculations and analysis, and reporting data to clients under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
Interacting with clients and project teams.
Following safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.
