Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
  • Little to no prior experience required – we’ll train you
  • Willingness to travel overnight
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Terracon representative on drilling projects, providing direction to subcontracted drilling crews, communicating professionally with site contacts, identifying utility markings, classifying soils when appropriate, and managing changing site conditions.
  • Assist with pile load testing and other types of data collection related to soil conditions and strength.
  • Document daily field activities, observations, testing results, and project progress accurately and thoroughly.
  • Perform laboratory testing, safely transport soil samples, and maintain clean, organized, and well-maintained equipment and vehicles to support efficient field operations.
  • Take on progressively greater levels of training, responsibility, and independence as you develop your skills and experience in the field.
  • Follow all safety rules, practices, and project-specific requirements.
  • Complete thorough pre-task planning before beginning work to identify potential hazards and ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
