In the role of Geotechnical Intern, we'll count on you to assist in performing geotechnical calculations and analysis for small- and large-scale projects, assist in planning and conducting geotechnical investigations and site assessments, and assist with geotechnical drilling, logging and preparing boring logs. You will gain real-world experience on exciting projects, connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures. You will perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager. HDR is our company. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Willingness and ability to go to the field as needed
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Familiarity with Geotechnical software.
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
  • Local candidates preferred
