About The Position

Kleinfelder's Geotechnical team is looking for an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join their engineering team in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma office. This role involves supporting the planning, engineering, and construction of complex projects, with a focus on earthquake and seismic engineering, and trenchless technology methods. The ideal candidate will have 0 to 3 years of experience and a strong interest in developing their career in geotechnical engineering. Responsibilities include geotechnical field investigations, soil and rock classification/boring logs, pavement design, engineering analysis, and report preparation. The role requires a positive work attitude, the ability to work safely and efficiently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The candidate must be able to communicate clearly with peers, supervisors, clients, subcontractors, and regulators.

Requirements

  • 0 to 3 years' experience
  • Positive work attitude
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, Including Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred
  • An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, supervisors, clients, subcontractors and regulators
  • Bachelors or Masters in Civil Engineering (geotechnical emphasis preferred)
  • EIT is preferred (or the ability to obtain within 3 to 6 months)
  • Be able to obtain PE license within 4 years of hiring
  • Some construction material testing and inspection related experience are also preferred
