KCB continues to be a leader in geoscience, engineering and environmental consulting and has an exciting future in several strategic markets with several large projects within Alberta and further afield in geohazard engineering for highways, several multi-year contracts involving designing and assessing dams for hydro/thermal power, irrigation, and mining. This role will give you the opportunity to: Work on highway geohazard projects involving geotechnical site investigations; ground hazard identification, assessment, and mitigation design; earth and rock slope design; erosion control design for creeks and rivers; annual geotechnical instrumentation programs Work on power generation, irrigation, and mining water design, assessment, and risk mitigation projects with hands on experience in dams and spillways, dam safety reviews, inspections, geotechnical instrumentation readings and installation, including assisting Engineers of Record on challenging structures Work in a multidisciplinary team environment that fosters career development while working with environmental scientists, regulatory permitting specialists, hydrotechnical engineers, structural engineers, and mechanical engineers Travel throughout Alberta with opportunities for international mining work.
