About The Position
GTA is currently seeking a Geotechnical Driller for our Laurel, MD office. This is a physically demanding position; successful candidates must have the ability to lift 50+ pounds, have the ability to walk on uneven terrain and in undeveloped wooded areas.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Class A or Class B CDL license
- Satisfactory driving record
- 5 Years Geotechnical Drilling Experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Nice To Haves
- OSHA training
- Ability to maintain rigs
Responsibilities
- Performing geotechnical and direct push “Geoprobe” explorations and well installations using hollow stem auger and mud rotary methods.
- Performing day-to-day operation and maintenance of drill rig equipment
- Documenting geotechnical boring with daily logs
- Maintaining a clean and hazard free work area
- Operating within state and local regulations
