About The Position

GTA is currently seeking a Geotechnical Driller for our Sterling, VA office. This is a physically demanding position where most of your day will be spent outdoors, working in a variety of weather conditions. The role requires the ability to stand for extended durations, perform repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering, and use hands to handle, finger, feel, reach, climb, balance, crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel, sit, smell, and see. You must be physically capable of lifting 60 pounds regularly and occasionally moving 80 pounds or more.

Requirements

Driver's License
Satisfactory driving record
5 Years Geotechnical Drilling Experience
Ability to lift 50+ pounds

Nice To Haves

OSHA training
Ability to maintain rigs

Responsibilities

Performing geotechnical and direct push “Geoprobe” explorations and well installations using hollow stem auger and mud rotary methods.
Performing day-to-day operation and maintenance of drill rig equipment
Documenting geotechnical boring with daily logs
Maintaining a clean and hazard free work area
Operating within state and local regulations
